Just touching base

I just got done adding some things to my dads site for him. I created a new banner, but the image quality is low. I will remake the banner soon. Possibly the same image, I will just crank up the quality.

In the past few days I have made a lot of changes to the site. In the last 24 hours, I have only done the banner. Last night I went through and made my own widgets so I could control the way the sidebar looked. After the rest of the site is finished I will add options to the widget so I can just edit the content through Wordpress instead of having to look at code. My ultimate goal is to have the site totally code editing free. I don’t want to look at code just edit a widget, or add an image or something. I don’t have time to edit files and upload via FTP.

In the next few days I expect to have the links for Delicious, Stumble It, Propeller, and Digg for each post working. Right now they just point to the corresponding site.I got the rating system working again. I haven’t decided if I was going to put the print and email post options at the bottom again. If anything, they may be present on the actual posts page by itself. I will probably then bring back the “top commentators” widget back on the sidebar. I need to rearrange the images in the money makers and affiliates sidebars.

If you click the title of this post, you will notice the posts page doesn’t have the sidebar or the background image. I plan on getting to that soon as well. I am focusing on what you can see on the home page first, then going deeper.

Well, I was just wanting to keep the posts going just in case somebody visits the site. I don’t want anyone to think the site is dead and abandoned. Once I get the coding/design of the site done I will be posting more often. I will also be adding tutorials and all kinds of things. Visit back soon. I will at least post every few days letting everyone know where I stand with the site.
